The Aviation
The classic, and purple, gin cocktail that might have nothing to do with flying things at all.
Equipment
- Grab your shaker for this one.
Ingredients
- 2 Oz. Gin
- .5 Oz. Lemon juice
- .25 Oz. Marashino Liquor Try Luxardo
- .25 Oz. Creme de Violette It's really the best one to use here.
- 1 garnish Lemon peel
Instructions
- Start with a chilled coupe glass. The icier the better.
- Add all of your ingredients, barring the garnish, into a shaker with loads of ice.
- Go to town shaking it all up.
- Strain into your coupe glass.
- Garnish with your lemon peel, which you have the option of flaming before you "decorate" your Aviation.
