The Way Too Much Gin Cocktail

I can’t remember exactly how this drink came to be, but I do remember that my first reaction was “Way Too Much!”. As in, so potent I about passed out. It’s a lot of alcohol, plus a lot of flavor, plus a lot of deliciousness. The Way Too Much gin cocktail is also a bit bitter, but there are ways to tone this down, for sure.

This cocktail is also easy to layer, so you can end up with that ombre look. Campari is the key ingredient to making this drink strong, bitter, and gorgeous. Pamplemousse is another potent addition, and this adds the citrus and tartness.

Notes on the Way Too Much

This drink is not for the light of heart! It will blow your socks off.

If you are not a huge Campari fan, try it without. You could use some Apérol instead, to add a bit of color without so much bitterness.

Cocchi Americano is a great fortified wine liqueur, I suppose you could use Lillet instead if you like. Or any other fortified wine that you may have around.

You could also soften the blow of so much strong alcohol with some sort of grapefruit juice or soda or lightly flavored seltzer instead of Pamplemousse grapefruit liquor. Lots of ways to make this yours!

Cheers, and make good decisions!
