The Slow Friday
The Slow Friday gin cocktail checks off lots of boxes here – fruity without sweet, slow sipping, hint of tang, and gin. And sure, this drink it totally made up, accidentally in fact. But isn’t that how all drinks get started?
Ginger is what makes this drink easy and surprising. We made it with Domaine de Canton, that delightfully punchy and bold ginger liqueur, as featured in the potent Gin and Ginger Martini. Domaine de Canton is pretty strong at 28% ABV, so you may want to go easy on it or find a substitute.

Other ways to add a ginger pop to this easy sipper Slow Friday.
If you want to reduce the alcohol content of your Slow Friday, you totally can. Use ginger ale for bubbles and sweetness. Another option is ginger syrup. Use ginger beer, even!
Of course, you can always garnish with whatever you want. I used a dehydrated fruit wheel, because that’s all I had at the time. Pineapple, a lime wedge, an umbrella, even a cherry would all work here, too.
I would also suggest using a neutral and dry gin for this. The other flavors are more forward, so save your fancy aromatic gins for a different cocktail.
