Orange Mint Gin Spritzer
This fantastic orange and gin cocktail is a subtly flavored and mild fizzy drink, perfect for summer and sipping slowly.
This Orange Mint Gin Spritzer recipe is loosely based on a SMASH – which is really just a formula for making drinks – spirit, sugar, mint, and soda or seltzer.
It’s quite fun to make, and because you get to muddle things, you can really intensify the flavors that you love. Any herb, like mint or rosemary or thyme or lavendar, is quite potent, so a little bit goes a long way.

- Garnish with orange peel, or orange slice, and mint.
Try these options instead. Or in addition to. How thirsty are you?
This recipe is handy because you can really add any citrus or fruit and any herb. Some ideas:
Lemon and basil.
Strawberry and mint.
Blueberry and thyme.
What suits you?
But what about the sugar in the Orange Mint Gin Spritzer?
You can use simple syrup. It’s easy to make, and it keeps well in the fridge.
You can also just add regular sugar, and really let the grains of the sugar get muddled up. Sort of like making a mojito, but better because it’s gin.
