The Cherry Tart 75
The name of this cocktail is descriptive, as in the Cherry Tart 75 has both cherry flavors and tart flavors. But they are subtle. And not overpowering, and TBH, quite delightful.
There’s something fancy and prissy about the French 75 cocktail, and this variation on a theme lets you play up some new flavors in a time-honored recipe. This new twist on the French 75 also lets you adjust the volume, so to speak, on the cherry and the tartness of this gin cocktail.

Customize your Cherry Tart 75
This is such an easy recipe to mix up, but be picky about what you change, as there’s not a whole lot of room in a champagne flute to go totally nuts.
The volume of maraschino liqueur and simple syrup you add should equal the amount of lemon juice you use as a place to start.
If you can’t get enough of the cherry flavor, use more maraschino and less simple syrup.
You would like more tart? Add a bit more lemon juice, but know that you can easily make this gin recipe too tart.
When bubbles are your jam, and you simply can’t get enough, only add a smidge of gin and let your bubbles do the fizzing up. k
You can add even more cherry flavor by dropping your Luxardo cherry into your glass, which also adds some color to things. Use a lemon rind or twist if you need more of the citrus flavors to come through.
PS – it’s super easy to make your own Luxardo cherries, and they are totally worth it.
Take it slow on these – they are deliciously strong and pretty potent.
