There’s no reason to stick with the same ol’ Aperol Spritz – there are more ways to highlight this amazing Aperitif. And, all are paired with gin – so there you go!
#1 The Aperol Zest


The Aperol Zest
The Aperol Zest is a delightful orange based cocktail, borrowing tones from Pavan and Aperol to use with gin. Add some lime juice to round it all out.
Equipment
- Cocktail Shaker!
- Coupe glass. Go fancy.
Ingredients
- 1 Oz. Gin
- .75 Oz. Aperol
- .75 Oz. Lime juice
- .5 Oz. Pavan orange blossom liqueur
Instructions
- Combine! Toss (carefully) your ingredients into a cocktail shaker.
- Chill! Add some ice to your shaker.
- Shake! I hope this part is self explanatory.
- Strain into your coupe glass.
#2 The No Spritz For You


No Spritz For You – Aperol and Gin Cocktail
Combine juice, Aperol and Gin for the No Spritz For You cocktail!
Equipment
- Cocktail Shaker!
- Some sort of fancy glass!
Ingredients
- 1 Oz. Gin Go simple here!
- 1 Oz. Aperol
- 1 Oz. Grapefruit
Instructions
- Combine your ingredients into your cocktail shaker.
- Add some ice, and shake it up!
- Strain into your fancy glass!
- Garnish with some orange.
#3 Rye Be Bitter


Rye Be Bitter Gin Cocktail
This Rye Be Bitter gin cockail pairs bold rye gin with Aperol and citrus for a unique drink.
Equipment
- Cockail shaker
- Fancy glass of your choice – like a Martini glass
Ingredients
- 2 Oz. Rye gin
- .5 Oz. Aperol
- .5 Oz. Lime juice
- .75 Oz. Simple syrup
- 2 Dashes Orange bitters
- Orange peel to garnish
Instructions
- Combine all of your ingredients into a cocktail shaker.
- Shake vigorously with ice.
- Strain and serve with an orange twist.
#4 The Gin-vision Bell


The Gin-Vision Bell Gin Cocktail
The Gin-vision Bell gin cocktail combines gin with Luxardo and Aperol, with a base of lime juice for an amazing cherry flavor. The slight bitterness of the Aperol is a welcome bonus!

- Cocktail Shaker!
- Fancy-dancy coupe glass
Ingredients
- 1 Oz. Gin
- .75 Oz. Aperol
- .75 Oz. Lime juice
- .5 Oz. Luxardo maraschino liqueur
Instructions
- Add all of your ingredients to a cocktail shaker.
- Top with ice, and shake away!
- Strain into your cocktail glass and enjoy!
#5 Aperol and Gin Sour


Aperol and Gin Sour
This easy and delicious, yet barely bitter, cocktail is the Aperol and Gin Sour. Option to use egg white for a frothy and foamy head if you like.
Equipment
- Cocktail Shaker!
- Coupe glass.
Ingredients
- 1.5 Oz. Aperol
- 1.5 Oz. London dry gin
- .75 Oz. Lemon juice
- tsp Simple syrup
- Egg white optional for foam
Instructions
- In your cocktail shaker, combine all of your ingredients.
- Add ice and shake up.
- Strain into your coupe glass.
- Garnish with your choice of fruit!
Notes
If you are using egg white to create foam, dry shake the ingredients first to create the foam. This takes a bit. Longer than a normal shake.
Then add some ice for a quick shake and cool down.
#6 Apropos


The Apropos Cocktail
The Apropos cocktail pairs gin with yellow Chartreuse for the herbal flavors and Aperol for the citrus and bitter flavors.
Equipment
- Cocktail Shaker!
- Rocks Glass
Ingredients
- 1.5 Oz. Gin
- 1 Oz. Aperol
- .25 Oz. Yellow Chartreuse
- .5 Oz. Lime juice
- 2 slices Fresh orange to garnish
Instructions
- Combine all of your ingredients into your cocktail shaker and add ice.
- Shake it all up.
- Strain into a rocks glass.
- Tuck some fresh orange slices in your glass as a garnish.
#7 The Aperol 75


The Aperol 75 Gin Cocktail
This bitter-ish take uses Aperol and bubbles with gin to create a lovely apéritif, the Aperol 75.
Equipment
- Champagne glass or coctail glass.
Ingredients
- 1 Oz. Gin
- 1 Oz. Aperol
- 4 Oz. Prosecco to be super-Italian here.
Instructions
- You can make this cocktail right in your glass!
- Add your gin to your glass, followed by your Aperol.
- Top with Prosecco or your choice of bubbles.
- Garnish with orange peel to enhance that orange tones of Aperol.
